Validator
Here's what the Validator
Window looks like. You can only run one instance of the program on each computer at the same time.
Upon connection, you will be asked which Channel to connect to (either Blue, Red or Both) and to send data to. This only affects the sending of position data of your airplane and not the validation process.
When connected, the Connection Status
will turn green, reading CONNECTED
and the list on the right will be populated with other players running Validator
and being on the same Channel as you (or being on Both Channels), or if you are on Both Channels, with all players.
Then you can validate your setup pressing VERIFY
button. A window with a list of setups stored on SQSERVER
will be presented, and you must choose the one that fits your setup. You'll get the verification status (either PASSED or FAILED). If you've failed, you can press the VIEW ERRORS
button to get a list with the errors and the View Verification Commands
to see what is required by the selected setup.
On the right, every player on the list has an icon representing her state. These are:
The player is validating right now or hasn't started validation yet.
The player has passed validation.
The player has finished validation with errors.
You can get a list of a player's errors by double clicking on the appropriate name on the list.
On the bottom, you can see the number of F4AWACS
programs connected on you Channel (or are connected on Both Channels) or, if you have selected Both Channels, the number of all F4AWACS
programs connected to SQSERVER
.
Under Tools
menu you can select Offline Validation…
to open a setup file from your computer and validate your setup, whitout having to connect to SQSERVER
. This setup file (*.stp) can be obtain by SQSERVER
's Export setup function.
The Activity Indicator at the bottom, will light up whenever Validator
is sending or receiving data to/from SQSERVER
.
